Tips for Finding Comfortable Wedding Shoes
We all know that every bride wants her wedding day to be just perfect. This means that all the details, including the wedding shoes, need to be carefully thought out. Women want to look beautiful on their wedding day, but they should also keep comfort in mind since they are going to be standing, walking, and dancing in their shoes for most of the day. Getting blisters and having painful feet is not going to be something they will want to take away from their big day. This means that comfortable shoes must be found that look nice with the dress.
Although some women wear pretty much any type of shoe under their wedding dress in order to have comfortable shoes on, others still want to have the more traditional dress shoes. Longer dresses pretty much hide the feet of the bride, and this makes it easier to wear different types of footwear. However, certain types of wedding locations and dresses also lend themselves to other types of footwear. Ballet slippers and pretty sandals are becoming more popular. For beach weddings some women even choose to wear flip flops these days. However, you want to make sure that your shoes fit with the dress. Very informal shoes with a very formal dress will not look as nice. You need to either choose the shoes or the dress first, and then bring them along while choosing the other item to make sure they go well together.
For comfortable shoes for weddings, it is a good idea to shop at the end of the day since your feet tend to swell slightly during the day. This way you will end up with shoes that won’t get tight at the end of the day. If you are going to wear nylons on your wedding day, wear them to try on shoes as well. This way you can best replicate the conditions under which the shoes will be worn.
It is also a good idea to wear your shoes around the house for a couple days to break them in and get them to be a bit more comfortable. This does not mean you should buy shoes that are not comfortable to start with hoping they will feel better after being worn. Start out with the most comfortable shoes you can find that you like. You can also purchase inserts to try to increase the comfort level even more.
