Franco Sarto is more than just a well respected brand name; Franco Sarto is actually the founder of the brand. He was born in Dolo, a small town outside of Venice, Italy, in 1949. Like most of the people in Dolo, he worked part-time in the local shoe factory. This enabled him to learn the shoes industry from the ground up. He was able to apply the knowledge he learned from sitting on a stool, hand lasting shoes with a hammer and nails to every item in his line of Franco Sarto shoes. In his early twenties, he moved to the town of Stra, which is still known as the center of shoe design in all of Italy. While he was in Stra, he was able to the foundation for the Franco Sarto Empire.

Franco Sarto has been making shoes that women around the world have had a love affair with for years. He made it his mission to design shoes that women of any age can wear for any occasions. When it came time to expand his line, Franco Sarto shoes branched out into handbags and other leather accessories. Tapping into his design expertise, he designed a fashionable line that included totes, satchels clutches, and hobos. Each style is made with the same care that goes into every shoe that bears the Franco Sarto name. His latest venture has been to branch out in eyewear fashion. His eyewear line carries over, the same distinct high fashion sense that he conveys in his shoe and handbag line. His line carries over 12 different styles, in a variety of different colors.
