Danish clogs are usually very comfortable, and this has made them popular in the United States and elsewhere. Many people like to buy these clogs. There are a couple names that are popular when it comes to buying Danish clogs. These are Sanita clogs and Dansko clogs. Just what is the difference?
Until 2007, there really wasn’t much of a difference since Sanita manufactured clogs for Dansko. After 2007 Dansko switched their manufacturing to other companies around the world (namely Italy, China, and Brazil), while Sanita clogs are still all manufactured in Europe in the traditional manner. These days all shoes made by Sanita are sold under the Sanita name.
Dansko clogs have been made with a wider heel, athletic quality shock absorption, and a softer and more pronounced heel cavity than other types of clogs. This means that many people tend to find them even more comfortable than those made by other companies.
In short, Sanita clogs are made by hand in the more traditional manner in Europe, while Dansko clogs (also made by hand, but not necessarily in Europe) have incorporated some more changes in order to make them even more comfortable. Both types of clogs are made similar to traditional Danish styles.
