All Day Long
The day of a wedding can sometimes last as long as ten hours. From greeting guests, posing for photos, walking down the aisle, to standing for the ceremony, and let’s not forget the parties afterwards. That is an awfully long time to be on your feet. So be sure that – above all else – you choose the most comfortable wedding shoes you can find (while still looking good).
A Few Tips to remember when you go shopping for wedding shoes:
- Shop at the end of the day, because feet swell over the course of a day and you will want to have your feet measured when they are at their biggest.
- Choose a heel that you can walk comfortably in all day.
- Wear what makes you feel good. There are plenty of comfortable, fashionable styles from which to choose.
- Shop for your wedding shoes before you have your dress altered.
- Break your shoes in. Don’t wait until the day of the wedding to be the first time you wear them.
- Consider buying a shoe style which you can wear again after your wedding.
- Buy a second pair of shoes to change into. Pick up some wedding flip flops or flats.
- Add padding to your wedding shoes to help cushion the impact.
- Never buy wedding shoes with a higher than 2” heel.
- Buying open-toe shoes will give you more room to move your toes around in it will allow them to breathe better.
Things to Remember
The most comfortable wedding shoes can be both stylish and elegant. Just remember these few tips and you will enjoy the day immensely and not even give your feet a second thought. If not, you could be in for a long painful wedding day due to foot pain.
