Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently bought Gizeh for Men, Size 42/US9, Natural leather Havana color.
However, I’m having a problem determining my exact size.
As usually, with European dress shoes I wear size 8, and with sport shoes I wear size 8.5
Reading online about the sizing of Birkenstock I found out that, I need to have 1/4 inch between my feet and the sandals, however I have 1/2 inch from the front and the back.
Does that mean I need to get the smaller size 41/8? or would that be too small, considering I wear 8.5 sometimes?
at the Store I have been told that Birkenstock should be a bit longer and if your size is 8.5 you should get 9?

We would suggest the size 41 in your situation. If this is your first time trying Birkenstock footwear, it’s important that you get the correct fit. The footbed will mold to your foot over time, and if you have a sandal that’s even a little too big, you will not be happy with it in the long term.
