Society is so funny. We are willing to do so much for the sake of how we look and how we live even to the extent of causing ourselves to suffer in the privacy of our own thoughts. As long as it looks good to those on the outside looking in, we will usually continue our way of doing things. The problem will arise though when we will have to make a decision about healthy choices. Grab a healthy snack and a healthy drink and let’s discuss why it is important to wear comfortable shoes. Do you sometimes find it hard to gracefully walk around in those 6 inch heels? Do you close your ears to the cries of your soles? Why is it important to heed those cries?
Let me give you 5 undeniable reasons to change your shoe habits for the sake of healthy feet.
1. You eat food and drink beverages that are healthy rather than cramming sodas, sugars, fats, and other unhealthy items down your throat. What do you cram your feet into? You need your feet to carry around a healthy body therefore you should pad them with comfort.
2. People with diabetes have to take special care of their feet. You may or may not have diabetes, but the fact that feet can become victim to disease should have you treating them right.
3. Think about this. If you have to wear special shoes for bowling, is it possible that other activities in life require special footwear? Bowling shoes are designed to work with the surface that you are playing on. You do not want traction working against you. We have special running shoes, tennis shoes, basketball shoes, so why not everyday comfortable shoes?
4. Is your closet filled with shoes? If so, how many of those pairs do you actually wear? Hypothetically, is it possible that you bought them, wore them, and threw them aside because your feet were miserable while wearing them? They say let your feet do the walking, but in many instances, our feet are doing the talking.
5. For the sake of being healthy head to toe. Don’t let this be a slogan you speak, but don’t mean wholeheartedly. Choose to be healthy, literally to your toes. Eat food and drink beverages that are good for you and wear comfortable shoes every day.
